Ravenna Study Day: the history of a city and the art of theology

Friday 29 October 2021 10.00-16.00

All Saints Church, Margaret Street, London W1 invite you to join them for a study day to explore the history of ancient Ravenna, and to discover more about the theological impulses that prompted that history.

The day will have three key note speakers: Prof Judith Herrin will introduce us to the remarkable history of Ravenna; Fr Anders Bergquist will draw out some of the key themes in christological debate that characterised life in ancient Ravenna; and Fr Peter Anthony will explore how the mosaic art of Ravenna's churches was sued to interpret the scriptures.

No booking required.  Simply turn up on the day in time for 10.00 am.
